ArticlesThe GWLSRC is built upon a series of easy to use and catalogued text-based articles. Subscribing students and teachers are able to browse the content online and print any or all of the articles for off-line reference.Key features All of our printed publications are contained within the GWLSRC; The "Novels" and "Plays" articles include complete synopses of the chapters or parts, analysis and comparisons of the main themes and characters, critical assessment, main points of interest, historical significance, coursework assistance and suggestions and biographies; There are biographies of both male and female poets that help to provide useful background knowledge and understanding when analysing the poetry; There are well over a hundred poetry articles providing both detailed analysis and interpretation of not only the required syllabus poems but also those considered to be further reading. Many new articles are added or existing ones revised each year as part of our continued development of the resource and are all free to customers for the duration of their subscription.
Audio LibraryThe Audio Library was introduced in Spring 2008, we have been steadily adding to the resource and have a full programme of production for the 18-months ahead. We will continue to record and add the audio versions of our study guides as well as featuring contemporary recordings and specially commissioned versions of plays and novels. "Journey's End" audio play Forums for students and teachersTo provide additional support and assistance for our members we have, for this new school year, implemented our new forums, one for students and one for teachers. The forums are only available to members of subscribing schools and colleges. The fully moderated forums facilitate discussion, not only with our experts and writers, but with other registered members.Both forums are securely located within the GWLSRC and only available to subscribing schools and colleges. Image LibraryThis new section will contain useful royalty-free image resources related to the First World War, its history and the literature, aimed at students and teachers for use as teaching aids or incorporated into reference material. This section will be available 2010/2011. Updates The GWLSRC is constantly expanding with new content. In addition, all things change over time, and we therefore review all the content to ensure it is inline with the latest examination board requirements. |
